Teaching

Dr. Stein is an associate professor in our department. He teaches animal reproduction and domestic animal behavior related courses. Along with being a favorite teacher of many students, he is also one of the most requested advisor. In a 2014 O’Colly newspaper article, titled "Rate My Professor," Dr. Stein was listed as one of the top 10 professors at Oklahoma State University.

Research & Extension

Dr. Stein focuses on extension for animal breeding and selection of reproduction. In the past 14 years he has published 11 articles. Dr. Stein is a member of the American Society of Animal Science, American Dairy Science Association, Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture and American Embryo Transfer Association.


About Dr. Stein

Dr. Daniel Stein received his B.S. in agriculture ecology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Before coming to Oklahoma State University, Dr. Stein was the managing partner and personal farming operator for the Stein Angus Farm in Cherokee, Okla. He managed more than 375 head of registered Angus cow-heard, embryo transfer, 1400 plus acres of wheat, alfalfa, and stocker cattle. In 2009 Dr. Stein received his M.S and Ph.D. in animal science and reproduction. He is an associate professor, teaching animal reproduction and domestic animal behavior. Dr. Stein focuses on extension for animal breeding and selection of reproduction. In the past 14 years he has published 11 articles. Dr. Stein is a member of the American Society of Animal Science, American Dairy Science Association, Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture and American Embryo Transfer Association.
