About Mellissa Crosswhite

Mellissa Crosswhite grew up raising and showing cattle in Sarasota, FL. After graduating from high school, Mellissa obtained her associate's degree from State College of Florida before making the move to Gainesville, FL. In 2012, she earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science with a specialization in beef cattle from the University of Florida. After graduation, Mellissa made the move to Fargo, ND where she attended North Dakota State University and received a master’s degree in animal science in 2014. She graduated with a Ph.D. in animal science from NDSU in December with a focus in reproductive physiology and implementing management techniques in beef cattle herds to improve beef cattle reproduction.

Mellissa joined our department as a lecturer in 2016. She teaches animal science courses and advises students.
