Teaching

Dr. Reuter is an associate professor in our department. He teaches nutrition courses and strives to train students to understand key biological and computational concepts to help them better manage grazing enterprises.

Research

Dr. Reuter's research interest include forage-based beef cattle and nutrition management, effects of supplementation and grazing management of beef cattle production and sustainability, and incorporating technology into grazing systems.

Dr. Reuter uses data to provide insight and solve problems in the beef cattle industry. He enjoys developing new skills in data management and analysis, and communicating results of analysis and research to producers. Dr. Reuter values quality and usefulness in his work.


About Dr. Reuter

Dr. Ryan Reuter is an associate professor with an emphasis in range beef cattle nutrition for the Department of Animal and Food Sciences. His appointment is split between Research (0.70) and Teaching (0.30). Dr. Reuter's research interest include forage-based beef cattle and nutrition management, effects of supplementation and grazing management of beef cattle production and sustainability, and incorporating technology into grazing systems.

Dr. Ryan Reuter received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University, and earned his Ph.D. in Animal Science from Texas Tech University. Dr. Reuter and his family lived in Ardmore, OK where Dr. Reuter worked for the Noble Foundation before coming to Oklahoma State University.
