About the Species

Geese are some of several waterfowl species in the Anatidae family. Male geese are generally larger than females, although the plumage of both sexes of geese are similar. Geese spend a large amount of time on land, eating grasses, plants, and some aquatic plants. The large birds mate for life and both parents care for the young.
