Breeds of Livestock - Karayaka Sheep



    The Karayaka is found in northern Anatolia in Turkey. They are a carpet-wool breed kept also for meat and milk production. Karayaka are usually white with black eyes or black head and legs, occationally black or brown animals are seen. The rams are usually horned and the ewes are usually polled. They are classified as a long-thin tailed breed.
