Polled Highland

Although highland cattle are famous for their lengthy horns, some highlands can end up polled, or without horns. There is a singe pair of genes in cattle that controls if they have horns or not. Although highlands have been selected to have horns, polled cattle can naturally occur or also be selected for by producers.
