Jack Drummond is a senior majoring in animal science with a production option at Oklahoma State University. When he made the move to Stillwater to begin college, he already knew he wanted to follow in his family’s footsteps by taking a study abroad trip. Jack visited 13 different countries, including Iceland, Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland, and Austria.
Food Science: What is that?

Oklahoma State University students pursue degrees in food science, a field covering various areas from farm to fork. How does safe, nutritious food get to the shelves at the store? Why is some coffee decaf? How was rocky road ice cream invented? Why are chicken nuggets shaped like ovals? The answer to each of these consumer questions is food science.
Animal Science Students Recognized as 2017 OSU Seniors of Significance

Oklahoma State University recently announced the 2017 Seniors of Significance. Only 48 students are selected from nearly 5000 seniors graduating in the 2017 academic year. These students represent the top one percent of the Class of 2018 in all OSU undergraduate colleges.
Clay Daily Student Spotlight

Meet Clay Daily, a junior from Mayville, Michigan. Daily said he decided to attend OSU because of its focus on the College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources and the passion throughout the halls of the animal science building.
2017 National Champion Livestock Judging Team

The 2017 Oklahoma State University Livestock Team was named National Champions at the National contest in Louisville, Kentucky! The team took home the bronze bull on November 14th, 2017, with a clean sweep victory. They won every species division and reasons. Jessie Judge, Faith Onstot, and Hope Onstot were also named All-American Individuals.
2017 AQHA Reserve World Champions

The 2017 Oklahoma State University Horse Judging Team had a great season, finishing up as the 2017 AQHA Reserve World Champion Team Overall! They were 1st in halter, 3rd in performance, and 3rd in reasons.

Our department offers two majors, Animal Science and Food Science, and 13 study options. It is one of the largest department on campus with more than 950 students, but with a small town feel, a caring attitude and a commitment to every student.
